How To Align Your Finderscope - My Telescope Series

https://ift.tt/2xQIYMc My Telescope Series: How To Align Your Finderscope Directed and Produced by Tommy DeJosia Before using your telescope, there are a few important steps to follow to get the best results as possible. First you want to start out to make sure that your finderscope is aligned with your telescope view. To do that, the first step is to start by using your lowest eyepiece. Look through your telescope's eyepiece and make sure that your object is centered. Loosen the mounting knobs that restrict the telescope's movement. Then, as best as you can, aim the telescope at something around 200 yards away and easy to locate. Now tighten down the mounting knobs and look through your finderscope. Located around the finderscope are small knobs that you can tighten or loosen to properly position the crosshairs. The objective is to get the crosshairs as centered as possible on your object. https://ift.tt/2SrWeR3 CarsonOptical July 15, 2019 at 10:36PM
