AT&T Believe Los Angeles Works Toward Supporting Local Community

Boris Jimenez currently works as a Supervisor at Homeboy Industries, an AT&T Believe Los Angeles community partner. In 1988, Boris was convicted of 2nd degree murder and was sentence for 17 to life. He served 25 years at nine different facilities before being released on parole in May 2012. After being released, Boris found Homeboy Industries and turned his life around. Homeboy Industries is the largest and most successful gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world. Homeboy offers an “exit ramp” for those stuck in a cycle of violence and incarceration, helping them develop the strength and skills to transform their lives and become contributing members of society. Homeboy Industries was created under the vision of Father Gregory Boyle, a well-recognized pastor, former high school teacher, youth advocate, author and speaker on gangs and intervention approaches. Each year, Homeboy serves over 8,000 clients with a wide-range of trauma-informed services, employing over 400 clients as trainees in transitional employment. Homeboy Industries is truly changing lives in Los Angeles and AT&T is proud to support the organization’s efforts. SUBSCRIBE https://ift.tt/2k8gw5d About AT&T: Laugh, learn, discover.
