http://bit.ly/2J4GdhW My Telescope Series: How To Use Your Telescope (Reflector: Equatorial Mount) Directed and Produced by Tommy DeJosia Getting started with your telescope can be a daunting task. Don't let that deter you. Once you get the hang of how to use your telescope, you'll be fascinated with the objects in the sky. Loosen both the right ascension and declination knobs so that the telescope is completely free can move around. Moving the Equatorial Mount can be tricky at first, but with time, it will become intuitive. Use your FinderScope to locate your target. And then center it in your view. Place the highest focal length eyepiece into the focuser and then tighten the thumbscrew. Now look through your main telescope and turn your focus knob, until your target is crisp. Then lock down your right ascension and declination knobs. To keep these moving targets in view, use your fine motion controls. To get better at locating objects, practice during the day. http://bit.ly/2HL0Tbx CarsonOptical May 22, 2019 at 10:43PM
