How To Use Your Telescope (Reflector: Altitude & Azimuth Mount) - My Telescope Series

http://bit.ly/2J4GdhW My Telescope Series: How To Use Your Telescope (Reflector: Altitude & Azimuth Mount) Directed and Produced by Tommy DeJosia Getting started with your telescope can be a daunting task. Don't let that deter you. Once you get the hang of how to use your telescope, you’ll be fascinated by the objects you see in the sky. To Start… Loosen both your altitude and azimuth knobs so the telescope is completely free to move around. Use your finder scope to locate your target. Then center it in your view. Place the highest focal length eyepiece into the focuser and tighten the thumbscrew. Look through your main telescope and turn your focus knob until the target is crisp. Lock down your altitude and azimuth knobs. If your target is the moon or a planet, it will move over time. In order to keep these moving targets in view, use your fine motion controls. If you want to get better at location objects, practice during the day. http://bit.ly/2w69wIf CarsonOptical May 19, 2019 at 10:43AM
