Turn Up the Love Project with Terra Lopez

AT&T partnered with Terra Lopez, creator of Turn Up the Love Project, to spread messages of love and compassion to LGBTQ youth at the LOVELOUD Festival in Salt Lake City on July 28th, 2018. In 2017, Terra, an artist and activist, created This Is What It Feels Like (TIWIFL), an auditory interactive exhibit where exhibitors are subjected to catcalling. Terra had plans to utilize the project’s format to combat more than just street harassment. Terra’s latest project, Turn Up The Love, is an auditory exhibit in which the listener hears messages of love and encouragement sent in by people around the world who support the LGBTQ community. As a queer-identifying woman, Lopez feels passionately about using an auditory exhibit to spread messages of love and encouragement to LGBTQ youth.
