Audio-Technica has released firmware version 1.6.1 for the ATUC-50 Control Unit (part of the ATUC-50 Discussion System). The process to upgrade to firmware version 1.6.1 is detailed in this video. New features in firmware version 1.6.1 include: o The ATUC-50CU can now power and control the ATUC-50IU Integration Unit o The max number of delegate units has increased from 50 to 100 per ATUC-50CU Control Unit -When used with the requisite number of ATLK-EXT165 link extenders, the ATUC-50CU control unit can power and control a total of 100 ATUC-50DU discussion units, ATUC-50IU integration units, and ATUC-50INT interpretation units (max of six INTs per CU). Up to three control units may be cascade-connected via Cat5e (or better) cable. And with the aid of link extenders, this cascade-connection enables the use of up to 300 discussion/integration/interpretation units in one system.
