Bench Press for Beginners
The bench press is a great exercise for beginning weight lifters as well as advanced. This video will show you how to do a proper bench press. The bench press works not only your chest, but your shoulders and triceps too. When you choose the weight for your reps you will want to choose a weight that is challenging, but still allows you to maintain proper form through all of your reps. When you're doing your bench press, do about 10-15 reps at a weight that is challenging during the last couple reps but still allows you to keep correct form. Also, make sure you aren't going too fast with your reps, which can lead to injury and decrease the benefit you get from the exercise. Slow and steady is key!
